The Process:

1: If you click "List of organizations needing volunteers" on the left hand side this will bring up a list of all our member agencies who are currently looking for volunteer opportunities.  If you then click on the organization you are interested in volunteering for at the top of that page, just underneath the name of the organization is a link "Volunteer Opportunities". If you are interesting in finding further information on any of the opportunities listed click on it. 

If you wish to apply for that opportunity click on the "Yes, I'd like to volunteer" button at the top of the page, complete the form and once submitted an email will be sent to the organization with which you applied, an email will be sent to Volunteer Hamilton, and you will also get a copy if you included your own email address. 

2. The second way to search the database is to either enter the type of opportunity you are looking for in the "Keyword search" area or if there is a specific organization you are interested in you can also find in in the "Keyword search" window. If you wish to apply for an opportunity that suits your needs the process is the same as No.1.

3. The third way of looking for an opportunity is to click "Search: Step 1".  This will take you through a series of windows to help you pinpoint the type of opportunity that suits you best. If you wish to apply for an opportunity that suits your needs the process is the same as No.1.

Volunteer Profiles: It may also pay to "Create a Profile".  Your profile will track your applications and you can also set up the system to email you when opportunities arise in your areas of interest.
